Two members of SEEBRIG Nucleus staff (Legal Advisor and Political Advisor) participated in XXXIInd Round Table which was held by International Institute Of Humanitarian.
Annual Round Tables are organised in Sanremo on current problems of international humanitarian law. This year the topic was “ Non-State Actors and IHL. Organized Armed Groups : A Challenge for the 21st Century”
These events are important for the members of the international humanitarian community as they allow diplomats engaged in multilateral diplomacy, representatives of the United Nations and other international organisations, members of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, representatives of various NGOs, scholars and researchers, the opportunity to define humanitarian problems, to examine the relevant legal instruments, to assess the action taken, and to come up with new ideas and proposals for future development.
IIHL Round Tables provide an informal forum for open and in-depth discussions and, over the years, have produced, important Resolutions and Declarations.
