SEEBRIG participated in Exercise Specifications Conference (ESC) for Exercise “South Eastern Europe Simulation Network-10 (SEESIM-10)” between 8-11 September 2009. The ESC was organized by Nation 1 at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Tirana and co-chaired by USA Joint Force Command (JFC) representative with plenary sessions and daily Working Groups (WG).   Broad scenario about SEESIM-10 will be “Terrorist attack, Natural and manmade disaster in South - Eastern Europe”. The ESC and all WGs were co-chaired by Nation 1 (as host nation for SEESIM-10) and USA JFC (as support nation). A bilateral meeting for SEESIM-10 Co-Chairs was held on 7th of September 2009. During opening remarks of the ESC, all participants were welcomed by Colonel Sander LLESHI Commander of TRADOC of Na1 and Jimmie OPILLA USA JFC representative. Plenary briefings were given on: SEESIM-08 national lessons learned; national proposals for SEESIM-10 scenarios; and SEESIM-10 overview. At the ESC, closing remarks were made by the Steering Group Co-Chairs. All ESC documents will be available on the SEESIM-10 Exercise Planning Website to be introduced at the Initial Planning Conference (IPC). The Term of Reference (TOR) was approved with minor modifications to accommodate decisions made on other items. The Steering Group noted that the information relating to SEEBRIG’s role in the SEESIM-10 Exercise could change if the new draft of the South Eastern Europe Disaster Relief Operation (SEDRO) Concept is approved at the late September 2009 meeting of the Politico-Military Steering Committee (PMSC). Steering Group reviewed the draft SEESIM-10 logo and approved with modifications.
