According to the SEEBRIG annual plan, a study trip to Marmara and West Black Sea Regions was organized on 2-3 September 2009. The activity purpose was to inform SEEBRIG HQ personnel and their dependents about geographical, economical, historical and cultural aspects of these regions of the host nation. A short ceremony was organized in Izmit in front of the earthquake monument where all participants observed a moment of silence to commemorate the victims of 1999 earthquakes.
The activity was the first step for the new command group in SEEBRIG team building.
