A SEEBRIG HQ team consisting of 5 officers, headed by COMSEEBRIG Brigadier General Zyber DUSHKU, conducted an evaluation visit to Nation 4 , SEEBRIG assigned units.
From 3 to 7 October 2010 a team of HQ SEEBRIG composed by Brig. Gen. Dushku (COMSEEBRIG), Col. Perrotta (DCOS Sup), LtC. Veglia (G3 Ops), LtC. Bojkovski (CG7) and Maj. Petrov (G6 FMO) carried out an Evaluation Visit to Nation 4 allocated Units, in Sardegna.
The activity started in Cagliari by visiting the 151st Infantry Regiment. The Evaluation Team was briefed by Regiment Commander and later on attended a very interesting PSO demonstration on the field, as well as an exhibition of weapons and equipment on the ground.
In honor of the SEEBRIG Team, the military band played the Anthem of "Brigata Sassari" and a couple of military march songs.
In the second day, at Sassari Brigade HQ, the SEEBRIG Team was welcomed by the Commander, Brigadier General Portolano and briefed about the organization and mission.
On this occasion the team had the opportunity to visit the Brigade Museum and to acknowledge the historical background of this distinguished unit.
In the last day, at the 5th Engineering Regiment in Macomer, the team was briefed by Regiment Commander. Later on, an Engineer Equipment exhibition was shown, followed by a demonstration of an EOD robot in action.
A short visit was paid also to the Army Aviation Unit "21st Group Orsa Maggiore", which provided air transportation by AB 205 Helicopter from Cagliari to Sassari and Macomer.
The visit was conducted in a very warm and hospitable atmosphere and resulted to be a very good experience for all.
Overall assessment was that the NA 4 assigned units are well prepared and capable to conduct any missions as part of SEEBRIG in PSOs.
